DeanMoore – Founder / Piano Teacher

Dean Moore is an experienced musician and teacher, specializing in Jazz and Classical piano. Dean has been teaching piano for 20 years. His results and rapport with students is highly regarded and he has had great success with students ranging from 4-65 yo. Many of Dean’s students continue with their musical studies through VCE and tertiary levels.

Dean began playing the piano at age 12, immediately realising a great passion and affinity for music. Dean began teaching piano and guitar at age 17 after discovering a natural talent for inspiring and nurturing the musical passions of others. Dean then moved to Melbourne where he completed a Bachelor of Arts in Instrumental Studio Music at Deakin University.

It was at University that Dean discovered the world of Jazz and improvisation and was very fortunate to study for three years under the guidance of one of Australia’s most well respected jazz pianist/educators, Tony Gould.

Dean has worked as the musical director/arranger for a number of corporate ensembles, playing with many members of Melbourne’s elite jazz fraternity and currently performs regularly with the Dean Moore Jazz Trio.

Dean continues to compose music for short films and has written a number of successful stage musicals with the company Play On Words.

Rebecca Hart – Piano Teacher

Rebecca is a full time music teacher with over 20 years experience.

Rebecca trained as a pianist at the Victorian College of the Arts where she completed a Bachelor of music performance, majoring in composition and improvisation. She has composed music for short animation, theatre and dance. Rebecca toured with musicians such as Angie Hart (Frente), Anthony Schulz and Beth George. Rebecca continues to work in the industry as a teacher in primary and tertiary settings as well as a sessional musician and composer. She is currently focussing on the Orff approach to teaching and playing music, for children. Her focus is on the aural experience, music language and improvisation.

Tully Ingamells – Piano Teacher

Tully has 15 years playing experience and is currently completing a Bachelor of Jazz Music Performance at Monash University. A passionate teacher of his craft, he is presently employed at Beaconhills College Berwick. Tully’s warm and engaging teaching style allows him to nurture and inspire students to realise their greatest musical potential.

Tully has studied piano continuously throughout primary school and high school. Completing up to Grade 7 AMEB level with Honours, VCE solo music (Piano) and VCE group performance. Tully’s VCE music results were outstanding. He excelled in Solo Piano and was invited to play in the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority’s (VCAA) Seasons of Excellence concert series, as a Top Acts Pianist.
